Within Brighton and Hove there are a range of services that work with people who use drugs and alcohol. The Brighton and Hove brief intervention service team will be visiting the Brighton campuses to provide information and advice on safer drinking, cannabis and services within the city.

Cockcroft - Tuesday 24th January, 11-2pm  Student's Union reception, ground floor

Grand Parade - Friday 27th January, 11-2pm Outside Sallis Benney

Falmer - Monday 30th January, 11-2pm Checkland Building main entrance

The alcohol brief intervention service is a health promotion service which provides information to anybody who is interested on finding out more about alcohol. The team also provide advice on safer drinking. 

There are two new projects within the city which work with people who want to reduce and stop their cannabis use.

Cannabis Cessation and Reduction Worker provides support to individuals to reduce or stop their cannabis use. The service offers , an individual assessment, 12 structured one to one sessions and up to date harm reduction infomation.

Marijuana Anonymous (MA) are a 12 step anonymous fellowship similar to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and hold a weekly meeting in Brighton, 6.30 on Sundays at The Unitarian Church, New Road, Brighton, BN1 1UF.
