Election Regulations
Like any other set of elections, Brighton Students' Union elections are governed by a set of rules which make sure they are as fair and transparent as they should be.
If you are thinking about standing for elections we ask that you have a look through these; they are outlined in one of our bye laws (bye law 6 - Election Standing Orders).

Equal Opportunities Policy (EOP)
Brighton SU shall provide a wide range of services to its membership through its elected officers and permanent staff. Such services shall be provided within the context of Brighton SU's Equal Opportunities Policy (EOP).
The Policy Statement and Code of Practice (COP) are given to each new Council member, employee and affiliated sports club or society.
Brighton SU's EOP and COP exist to protect individual members and staff from discrimination on grounds of gender, cultural origin, physical or mental ability, sexuality, age, marital status, responsibility for dependants, unrelated criminal convictions and political or religious beliefs.
The Policy Statement and Code of Practice (COP) are given to each new Council member, employee and affiliated sports club or society.
