NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED



Close of nominations - 12 noon Friday 12th February

The final day that prospective candidates can hand in their nomination forms to a Brighton SU office.

Candidates briefing - 6pm Friday 12th February - Rumblin' Tum Cafe - Cockcroft


This briefing covers election rules and regulations, manifesto writing, publicity design and other hits and tips to help candidates campaignin. Current Officers, Brighton SU and NUS staff will be available to answer any questions candidates have.  Candidates travelling travel costs will be reimbursed.

Candidate Video Recording - 1pm - 5pm Wednesday 17th February
G35 Cockcroft

All candidates are invited to record a 60 second video statement to help promote their campaign.

 

Candidate publicity deadline - 4pm Friday 19th February
Candidates need to provide:
• A photo – to be used on all Brighton SU publicity
• A manifesto - max 1000 words
• An election statement - max 25 words
• Their answers to any profiling questions they have been asked - max 100 words each

All text to be supplied in Word, compatible with Office 2003 (ending .doc). If you are using Office 2007 you will need to Save As to ensure your document is compatible. Pictures and artwork to be supplied @ 300dpi. in jpeg or pdf format only.
Artwork or text not meeting these requirements may not be accepted.

Candidate Question Time  

7 - 10pm Tuesday 02 March. The Rumblin' Tum Cafe. Cockcroft building - Moulsecoomb campus

Voting opens - 10am Monday 15th March

All voting will take place online. Students simply need to log to their Studentcentral account and then follow the instructions from the banner on the home page.

Voting closes - 4pm Friday 19th March

Expenses submitted - 12 noon Friday 19th March

All details of candidate expenses and photocopying allowance use to be submitted to a Brighton SU office.

Results – Announced @ 9pm - location TBC
