Hey all, I think that you should all vote for me to represent Brighton University at the National NUS Conference 2010, as not only will I represent the best interests of the student body, I will represent the best interests of Brighton students! I want to go to conference to help make sure that, as students, we don’t get a raw deal with the government. I want to make sure that we, the students of Brighton, are taking seriously and are not cut short when it comes to public policy and funding. I am strongly AGAINST raising tuition fees, why should the government be able to chop and change its mind when it comes to Further Education? Surely this is a short change to the young people of our country and hindering the equality of education in our country? Secondly, I am hugely AGAINST the government’s plan to cut university places. Why should it be that some students aren’t given the opportunity to attend university, and enjoy the brilliant, life changing experience (that I’m sure we can all vouch for being true) that so many of us have been privileged enough to take part in. I think that I would make a brilliant NUS representative as I am hard-working, dedicated and determined to make a change. University is one of the best experiences I have ever had the pleasure of taking part in, and to be able to help make the experience better for the entire student body is something that I am very much interested in doing. I have the best interests at heart. Team that with a level head and an unbiased approach to situations, I think that that completely makes me the best person for the job! See you at the ballot box, Regards, Amy x
