  PLUMPTON HE STUDENTS LAST STAND!!!!!

As you are all probably aware the HE student experience is not quite what we expected or would like at Plumpton College. From my recent discussions with fellow course reps it has come to my attention that a vast majority of HE students are unhappy with what is on offer from the college in terms of social activities and a university feel to institution.

I propose to change this in a positive way. I will work hard to provide an HE common room that we can actually access and relax in. As there is a lack of presence from the students union I will fill this gap and provide fellow students with information on events and news from the university.

I am currently in negotiations with the College to get all HE students, Wednesday afternoons off so that they can participate in university sports clubs, this I feel will make students feel as though they are apart of the university and not a sixth form college.

I am prepared to listen to any comments or suggestions and take them on board and if possible put them into action. If you want change in a positive way then look no further and let’s get talking.
