Your relationship with your tutors may from time to time be problematic for a variety of reasons and as with all difficulties these are best dealt with as soon as the problem arises before they become overwhelming. The first step is to consider is the problem affecting just me or is it affecting the entire course or year, if this is the case then you may want to raise the problem with your course rep to take collective action. Course reps are ideally suited to raising issues such as cancelled lectures, poor resources, information not available on Student Central, delays in receiving assessed work, unexpected course costs, difficulties in contacting tutors and any other issue that may be adversely affecting your academic life. If the problem with your tutor is specific to you, it would be wise to speak to the tutor directly if possible otherwise you may want to speak to your personal tutor. If you feel unable to approach a tutor you can speak in confidence to the SARS team who will provide non-judgemental advice and can support you through complaints, appeals or refer you to other services if necessary
