Placements form an integral part of many courses at the University of Brighton and should enrich your learning. Occasionally problems can arise and in the first instance it is worth looking at your placement handbook and talking to your placement or link tutor to see if issues can be resolved. If you anticipate any problems with potential placements i.e you have a disability which may limit your ability to travel or perform particular tasks or have caring responsibilities these need to be discussed as soon as possible ideally well in advance of a placement being agreed. The Academic Advocacy Service are happy to discuss any issues and support you through any discussions, you may also chose to talk to any professional organizations i.e trade unions that you are a member of.
