Wellbeing Forum Feedback

Autumn Term 2010/11

YOU SAID: That greater access to prayer facilities was needed for Muslim Students
WE DID: We are in talks with the University to create a possible interfaith suite at Falmer to encourage all students of faith to use and we are extending the space in Steam house to allow more people tom use the space.

YOU SAID: That crossing the road at Varley is dangerous
WE DID: We have contacted the Council, who have said that at the present time this is not possible, yet we continue to have discussions to try and convince the council this is needed.

YOU SAID: There should be an event around healthy eating and drinking
WE DID: Using the new peer to pier scheme these students helped organise and run an event doing just this, it reached over 200 students and was a great laugh.

YOU SAID: sometimes after nightclubs close some people are not in a fit state to get home and this makes them vulnerable
WE DID: we have launch Captain Hydration, a campaign that looks into having a good night without getting too drunk and also look out for Street Angels, another campaign that will look to ensuring people get home safely.
