Academic Forums
Forum Minutes
School Academic Forums promote a constructive discussion between students on the issues that could improve their academic opportunities while at university.
This isn’t just about talking though; it’s about understanding and turning ideas into action to improve the lives of Brighton students. Sometimes it will be course reps that should be taking things back to their course teams to do something about. Other times it will be about SU officers (usually the VP Academic Affairs) taking things forward on behalf of students. Usually it’ll be a mix of the two.
One thing is guaranteed though. Things happen when students get together and decide what would be a better future.
We encourage all students to attend, but we know that isn’t practical. So if you have a point of view or think we should be discussing something in particular, drop us a line on

* Please note that the Academic Zone Committee meeting is open to committe members only
