During the year the CaSH Action Team run a variety of campaigns and one-off outreach events. The CaSH Action Team's health promotion work focuses on devising and delivering engaging, interactive campaigns that will raise awareness and motivate the student body to make positive changes to their lifestyles. The CaSH Action Team aims to promote safer sexual practices, STI awareness and chlamydia screening.

 

Previous and current campaigns include:

Be Breast Aware - Encouraging women (and men!) to love and check their boobs regularly! 

 

Chlamydia Club Challenge – screening sports teams and societies for the chance to win £150 for their team.

  

Easter Eggstravaganza - CaSH Easter bunnies bringing Easter fun, eggs and chlamydia screening to all Brighton campuses (585 students took a Chlamydia test during this campaign in 2012!!)

 

Glow clubbing - testing at clubs and bars in town with glow sticks and 'glow in the dark’ condoms galore!

 

Let’s talk about sex… - fun sexual health campaign for the Summer focusing on the importance of good communication in all sexual relationships! 

 

Pee4Pizza - going round halls of residences and offering the chance to win free pizzas for a whole flat, in return for Chlamydia screens!

 

Presents in your Pants! – Sexual ‘Elf Workers spreading Christmas joy and offering Chlamydia screening and presents across campuses

 

Stop Before You Drop - CaSH teams up with Peer2Pier encouraging students to think about how alcohol affects them so they can recognise their own limits and enjoy a fun and safe night out with friends.

 

Valentine's - Love yourself! - joining forces with the SU Peer2Pier team to promote wellbeing with free hand massages, badge-making and chlamydia screening!
