Welcome to the CaSH (Contraception and Sexual Health) Action Team web pages!

The CaSH Action Team is a sexual health promotion service for students at the Universities of Brighton and Sussex which is funded through Brighton & Hove Primary Care Trust.

Our aim is to deliver a programme of community-led health promotion activity which:

•reduces the incidence of HIV infection and STIs
•reduces the incidence of unintended pregnancies
•promotes positive sexual health and wellbeing within the university communities

We aim to achieve this by increasing awareness about the transmission and prevention of HIV and STIs; testing and treatment services; the availability or contraception, condoms and pregnancy testing; and local advice and support services.

So watch out for your CaSH Outreach Volunteers around campus and in town -  we will be dishing out condoms, Chlamydia screens and general information, tips and advice as well as running fun campaigns and events throughout the year. We work closely with other organisations all over Brighton and Hove to provide you with the best sexual health promotional work in town!

At the beginning of each term we recruit new CaSH Outreach Volunteers. If you are interested in joining our team then take a look at and register through our Volunteering section. If you have any questions or a great idea for a campaign, email Laura at sexualhealth@brighton.ac.uk
